Helmut Marko, the Red Bull Racing adviser, hit the big 8-0 in 2023. Despite a year chock-full of travel, he seems to be holding up pretty well. But don’t get it twisted, he’s not planning to hit every Grand Prix in ’24. That’s what he told OE24, at least.

The 2023 season was a record-breaker, with a whopping 22 Grands Prix. That’s the most races we’ve ever seen in a single year. But hey, it wasn’t all smooth sailing. The races in China and Imola had to be scrapped for various reasons. But they’re back on the schedule for ’24, pushing the total up to 24 races. It’s gonna be a tough year for the drivers and team members, no doubt about it.

Now, let’s talk about Marko and Red Bull. Is he gonna be at all the races in 2024? Well, he’s not entirely sure yet. In a chat with the Austrian Medium, he said, “After the season, there will be a conversation about what I will do.” It’s pretty standard to have a post-season pow-wow to discuss what’s next. That’s how it’s always been, according to Marko. He’s got a deal with Red Bull until the end of 2024.

But don’t count him out just yet. He’s still feeling spry enough to globe-trot with his team. “I have the strength to do it,” he says. He even managed to stay surprisingly fit during training sessions in Las Vegas that went until 4 in the morning. “Better than most,” he chuckled. That’s Max Verstappen‘s discoverer for you.
