So, Sauber’s been running under the Alfa Romeo banner for five seasons, right? Well, things are about to change. For the next couple of years, they’ll be known as Stake F1 Team. And get this – they’re gearing up for a rebrand as an Audi factory team in 2026.

Guess who announced the name change? None other than Drake. Yeah, the rapper. He dropped the news on New Year’s Day.

Drake’s in with Stake F1

Drake’s not just announcing stuff, though. He’s one of Stake’s partners. They’ve got a whole bunch of celebs, sports stars, and lifestyle influencers on board. Everton, the Premier League football club, and UFC are part of the gang too.

And Drake’s not just a name on a list. He’s expected to show up at Grand Prix events. It’s all part of the deal.

“Last season was just the beginning for Stake in Formula 1,” said Alessandro Alunni Bravi, a rep for the team. “Now, with Stake headlining the F1 Team, we’re taking the next exciting step.”

Swiss Team’s New Launch

The Swiss team, officially listed as Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber on the FIA’s entry list, has big plans. They’re launching their new 2024 Formula 1 car at an event in London. It’s happening on 5 February, the same day Williams is doing their presentation.
