Red Bull Racing brought their biggest update of the season to Hungary. Max Verstappen tested the new parts in the first two practice sessions, and the team is happy with the data.
Christian Horner believes that managing tyres will be key to winning on Sunday.
“There’s a match between what we see on the simulator and on track,” said Horner. “The aero team is happy with the numbers. Now, it’s about tuning it for tomorrow.”
Warm temperatures in Budapest
Horner described Friday as ‘encouraging’ but knows a good start doesn’t guarantee a strong finish for the weekend. He emphasized that differences in power modes, fuel levels, and tyre management play big roles.
Handling tyres well is crucial for success in Budapest. “It’s all about tyres in this race,” Horner said. “Having a setup that lasts longer rather than being fast over one lap is key.”
Fans might think these updates could give Red Bull an edge this weekend.
