Practice is over at the Hungaroring in Hungary for round 13 of the season.
Sunday’s race kicks off a doubleheader with Spa before the summer break. Mercedes has been on fire, winning the last two weekends. But yesterday, Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris were fastest in FP1 and FP2. Now, it’s time to see who will shine in qualifying on this crucial track.
What Has Happened So Far in 2024?
At the start of the season in Bahrain, it seemed Max Verstappen and Red Bull would dominate again. But that didn’t last long! We’ve seen six different winners from four teams over 12 rounds. Carlos Sainz snagged a win for Ferrari in Australia after Verstappen retired. In Miami, Lando Norris got his first win thanks to a well-timed safety car while Verstappen struggled. Monaco was tough for Red Bull; Verstappen finished sixth as Charles Leclerc won his home race. Austria saw a collision between Verstappen and Norris, allowing George Russell to take victory for Mercedes. Then Lewis Hamilton made it back-to-back wins for Mercedes by clinching his 104th Grand Prix at Silverstone.
