Marko’s sticking around at Red Bull

After the passing of Red Bull co-founder Dietrich Mateschitz, people started asking. Is there still a place for Marko? Or is he heading for retirement? Marko himself has the answer. He’s not going anywhere. Not yet.

The meeting with Red Bull’s top dogs has shed some light on the Graz native’s future. “Yes, in a positive sense. Everything’s going as planned,” he tells OE24. So, Marko’s gearing up for a record 24 races on the Formula 1 calendar in 2024.

“But that’s not a stress for me,” he says. “If I said it’s crazy, it would be difficult. But I tell myself: Australia is beautiful, I’m looking forward to travelling to Melbourne.” He’s doing his job for Red Bull Racing from Friday 11am until Sunday evening. And he’s excited about it. That’s the ever-motivated Marko for you.
