Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc thinks Red Bull will dominate in Barcelona just like they did at the start of the season.
He believes European tracks are better suited for Red Bull.
Leclerc Predicts Red Bull to Shine in Spain
Leclerc sees Red Bull as the top contender for the Spanish GP. “We will see a Red Bull going very fast around here,” he said. He pointed out that recent races, from Miami to Canada, involved a lot of kerb riding, which isn’t Red Bull’s strength. If Ferrari can compete well here, it’s a good sign for the rest of the year.
However, Leclerc doesn’t want to suggest Ferrari is just trying to put pressure on Red Bull. “I’m not going to say we are downplaying ourselves,” he stated. He believes that on race day, especially during qualifying, Red Bull will have an edge but admits it’s hard to predict by how much. “We are much closer than where we were seven or eight months ago,” he added.
Fans might be wondering if this means Ferrari is giving up too easily.
Recovering After a Tough Weekend in Canada
After winning in Monaco, Leclerc had a rough time with Ferrari in Canada where neither he nor Carlos Sainz finished the race. Despite this setback, Leclerc tries to stay calm and focused. “We’ve had a bad weekend in Montreal… And now everybody says Ferrari is doing bad,” he noted. But when they do well, people think they’re back in the championship fight immediately.
Leclerc emphasizes staying emotionally steady and ignoring outside opinions. Inside the team, they focus on maintaining a positive mindset no matter what others say .
