Stroll Summoned by Stewards for Uncommon Offense

Lance Stroll missed a required fan event and now has to explain himself.

Stroll Faces the Stewards

Right after the first practice session at the Spanish Grand Prix, the FIA announced that Stroll needed to see the stewards. This wasn’t because of something he did during practice, but something he didn’t do before it. Apparently, he skipped a fan event that all drivers must attend.

According to the rules, drivers have to be available for fan activities for up to 30 minutes within 90 minutes before their first practice. Since Stroll didn’t show up, he’s now required to explain why. He has an appointment with the stewards at 15:45.

Fans might wonder if there was a good reason for his absence.
