Red Bull Racing is set to bring updates to Silverstone.
Helmut Marko believes Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez can make a strong comeback at the British Grand Prix after facing pressure in recent races.
Marko Announces Red Bull Updates for Silverstone
“The heat was huge in Austria – both in terms of atmosphere and on the track. It was very intense,” Marko told OE24. He’s pleased that Red Bull has extended its lead in the championship, but he added, “A win would have been better, of course, but we increased our lead in both the drivers’ and constructors’ championship. That was the next best thing.”
Looking ahead to the British Grand Prix, Marko revealed that Red Bull will introduce new upgrades. “We will hit back there; we will bring an upgrade. Besides, I always say: our goal is the world title, and the Austrian GP helped us achieve that,” emphasized the 81-year-old Austrian.
Fans might wonder if these updates will be enough to secure a win at Silverstone.
Regarding rumors about Verstappen possibly moving to Mercedes next year, Marko responded firmly: “Again: as long as Red Bull gives Max a car he can win with and there is a certain harmony in the team, he will always honour his contract.” And what if Mercedes offers him a winning car? “If, if, if … That is not the case at the moment,” Marko said with confidence.
What do you think about these updates? Will they help Red Bull dominate again?
